Governor Ishaku departs US after 87 days amid Coronavirus


Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State is set to return on Thursday after spending 87 days in the US.

Commissioner of Information, Danjuma Adamu, who confirmed the news said the entire state is agog to receive the governor.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on whose ticket Ishaku won his first and second term elections, with members of the executive cabinet, have set a committee to welcome the governor.

The governor is expected to land at the Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo by 4:00 pm where party chieftains and exco officials will receive him.

Ishaku’s supporters and political allies have customised face caps and T-shirts with his portrait in anticipation of his arrival, which will be preceded by a grand reception.
