Am Solidly Supporting Security Agencies - Gov. Mai Mala Buni



His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has reiterated his administration's determination to continue to support security agencies in the State to improve their forum for inter agency relationship, coordination and collaboration in order to convert crime in the State. The governor made the statement while handing over recovered 206 cows rustled by armed bandits in Adamawa State to the owners in Damaturu.
   Represented by Director Security Services in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government Alh. Yakubu Musa Damagum, the governor said that the 206 heads of cattle were recovered from armed bandits who stoled them from rearers last week by a team of Vigilantes who were assisted by the security. He therefore used the forum to commend the effort of the Vigelantee group in the State for their effort in assisting the security agencies in combating crime in the State. Governor Mai Mala Buni urged citizens of the State to report any suspicious movement to the nearest security agencies.
  Earlier in his speech, the Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Mr Sumounu Abdulmaliki said that two out of the five bandits were captured, while two lost their lives on the course of fire exchange with security operatives and the other one escaped. The Commissioner of Police was represented by the Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Isyaku. The CP therefore called on the people of Yobe State to always assist security agencies with credible information in order to combat crime in the State and the country at large.
    The owners of the cattle who are Four in number administered oaths that they had received back their stolen cows intact. They are: 1. Alh. Ahmadu Gidado, who received his 42 cows. 2. Alh. Kawoji Gabdo 57, Alh. Ja'o Sarki 51 and Alh. Janyo Mai Yara 56.
    Commenting during the ocassion, the Chairman Miyetti Allah Cattle Rearers Yobe State and his Counterpart of Adamawa State who was represented,Alh. Ibrahim Nangere and Alh. Abubakar Umar have expressed their happiness and commended the effort of Yobe State governor Alhaji Mai Mala Buni and urged other State governors to emulate him. They also commended the gallantry performance of security agencies in the State.
